UPDATES: After nearly three years of downtime, the Legend of Suikoden
is finally back online. I apologize for the long downtime, but
during that time, I have been extremely busy with university
work, as well as not being able to find any webspace for the
Legend of Suikoden. However, these days, I have had some time to
setup some webspace for the Legend of Suikoden. The new URL is http://home.comcast.net/~ckturbo128/Website/Legend_of_Suikoden/.
I know it is quite long, but this will have to do for the time
being. Here are the poll results of the last question before the
                        downtime: Question #10: "Since
Konami is not planning on translating the Genso Suikogaiden
volumes into English, will you be importing them from Japan?" 1.) Excellent!
Suikoden III is better than its predecessors! - 33% (28 Votes) 2.) Great! Suikoden III is on par
with its predecessors! I already have one of the
                          Genso Suikogaiden volumes - 35% (30 Votes) 3.) Good.
Suikoden III could have been better. - 14% (12 Votes) 4.) Bad. I do not like
                        Suikoden III. - 4% (3 Votes) 5.) I have not
yet purchased the game. - 14% (12 Votes) Total Votes: 85 Votes I set up a new poll question regarding Suikoden
IV. More updates will occur later on. Monday, August 8, 2005 WEBSITE
UPDATES: There have been many little changes to the website, mostly
minor visual updates in the navigation bar. I have created a new
logo for the Legend of Suikoden, since I felt the previous logo was
looking a little bit bland. Another reason for replacing the
logo was that someone was ripping off the Legend of Suikoden
logo and using it for their website (whom I had asked to remove
the logo, but refused to comply), which can be seen here: David's Legend of Suikoden. The Links page has been updated, since many of the sites listed there no
longer exist or are dead links. I have also added the Suikoden IV and Rhapsodia pages. The Art
Gallery section are currently available. For those who are
                        unfamiliar with Rhapsodia, it
is the upcoming strategy RPG game set during the timeline of Suikoden IV. Also, the Legend of Suikoden now is affiliated with the Dominating Twins:
Quality Ragnarok Online Guild, which is a online RPG guild
who is active on the Quality Ragnarok Online servers, a popular, private Ragnarok
Online server. The Message Board is no longer the main forum for just the Legend of Suikoden, as it is also used by members of the Dominating Twins:
Quality Ragnarok Online Guild, so the message board has been
                        appropriately re-named to Yoon's Corner.
At the moment, I am looking for extra moderators for the message board.
If you are interested, please send me a private message in the
forums or e-mail. Wednesday, August 24, 2005 GAME
                        UPDATES: IGN:
Suikoden Tactics Preview IGN PS2 has recently
posted its initial preview of the English version of Suikoden Tactics (formerly Rhapsodia): "As one of
several announcements made at its annual Media BBQ today,
Konami revealed that its Suikoden-based strategy/RPG
Rhapsodia would be coming to domestic shores this November.
To be known more formally as Suikoden Tactics when it arrives here in America,
the English version of Rhapsodia is nearing competition and
is already in its final production stages. Luckily for us,
Konami is well aware that IGN readers are longtime fans of
the series and have given yours truly a cool hands-on sneak
peek so that I could see firsthand what the game was all
                        about." Source: IGN PS2 WEBSITE
UPDATES: There have been many changes to the website
layout. First, most website picture files have been reduced
in file size, so the website should load slightly faster.
The Home page will now display
the upcoming release dates, as well as game and website
updates. The former website greeting has been moved to a
separate About page. The former Rhapsodia section has been
re-named to Suikoden Tactics, as Konami has announced its
intentions to release the game in North America and Europe.
The Links section has been removed, since most of the links
were dead anyway. The Products page has been changed into
the Soundtracks page. Wednesday, August 31, 2005 WEBSITE UPDATES: Updated the Genso Suikogaiden -
Vol. 2, Genso Suikoden - Card Stories, and Suikoden Tactics home
pages to display their release dates. Friday, September 2, 2005 GAME UPDATES: Suikoden
V to be Revealed at TGS Wow, another
Suikoden game already!? Not that I'm complaining, of course,
but it is surprising to hear that Suikoden is already on
                        it's fifth installment. "In the
newest issue of Weekly Shounen JUMP magazine, Konami took
the wraps off Suikoden V. The
announcement of the newest addition to the company's
long-running RPG series comes only three weeks before the
September 22nd release of the strategy RPG gaiden, Rhapsodia (Suikoden Tactics). puts players in charge of the
prince of the Kingdom of Falena who has been living a
careless life, until he becomes involved in a certain
incident. He is accompanied by Lion, a young girl whose
responsibility it is to protect the prince. Archutart Falena
is the mother of the protagonist and the queen of the
kingdom. The popular queen has managed to create and lead a
peaceful nation and hence enjoys the respect of her people."

                        UPDATES: TGS:
Suikoden I & II Headed for PSP Release Yet another
announced Suikoden game! This time it's a PSP port of the
classic Suikoden I and Suikoden II! From the
                        screenshots shown from the Official
Genso Suikoden I & II Website, it seems to be a straight
port from the original games. No word yet on it's release
date or whether it will be released outside Japan. "Konami
has opened the Japanese teaser site for Suikoden I & II for the PSP. The game has not
recieved a release date or a price, and no details are
available for the game. We have archived the 18 pictures
from the site below. Check them out!" Source: RPGFan In other news,
Konami has setup the Official Genso Suikoden V Website, which has some
character information and screenshots from the upcoming
                      game. |
